To illustrate THE SYMPHONY OF MAN AND NATURE, the work THE MAN WHO PLANTED TREES represents Montreal. Inspired by Frédéric Back’s animated film, it wins FIRST PRIZE among 97 cities and organizations from 25 countries. Like a metaphor, its musical score, dotted with maple trees, instills hope: from an arid land, life returns under the action of a single man.
